About the Author: N. R. Parasuraman

N. R. Parasuraman is Director and Senior Professor at SDM Institute for Management Development, Mysore. He is a Commerce and law graduate and did his Ph.D. on Capital Structure of Indian Companies. He is a fellow member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants. He has 31 years of experience in diverse areas of Finance. Dr. Parasuraman was the Company Secretary of FEDERAL BANK for five years. He has worked as Finance Manager for KEK Group of Companies, Trivandrum and as a Securities Analyst for Joindre Capital Services, Mumbai. His areas of teaching and research are strategy, financial derivatives, multinational finance and corporate valuation. Dr. Parasuraman is a visiting faculty at the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode, Indian Institute of Management Rohtak, Indian Institute of Management Udaipur and the Rajiv Gandhi Indian Institute of Management, Shillong.
