The Story Of My Life is an autobiography by the prolific author Helen Keller. In her autobiography the author has described herself as a girl who taught the dumb to speak and enabled the deaf to hear. This novel, although an autobiography of a mere 22-year-old, became famous when it was first released in 1903. It is Questions & Answers: The Story Of My Life Terms 1 & 2 that has been adopted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) as a part of its English curriculum for class X.

Essentially, the text is an unabridged version of the original novel. To facilitate its reading as a book within the curriculum for the Class X CBSE students, the book has been divided into two parts, Term I and II. Term I of the text has been further categorised into 15 chapters. At the end of the 15th chapter, a question digest that covers the entire story related in those chapters has been provided. These questions are those that could be asked in the CBSE Class X Term I exam. Each of the questions given comes with answers that facilitate the study of the novel.

Term II of the book further continues and completes the entire story of Keller up till her 21st year. Like Term I, this part too ends with a question digest accompanied with answers.

Additionally, the book contains a biography of the author at the start of the text. The biography also functions to introduce various major and minor characters featuring in the novel.
